SUPPORTERS
Thank you to our key supporters:
The Mackenzie Financial Charitable Foundation is managed entirely by volunteers who are employees of the Mackenzie Group of Companies. Their objective is to further Mackenzie’s leadership among Canadian companies in community involvement and charitable giving, and to provide their employees with opportunities to become more involved in the community.
“I am lucky enough to spend my days immersed in the world of philanthropy. It’s extremely gratifying to build and grow a culture of philanthropy and volunteerism with our organization. However, it is equally important to build a culture of giving back within our own homes. It’s almost never too early to begin to teach your children about the importance of charity and community. Whether it’s reading them books with a charitable theme or providing them or exposing them to charitable events (like the wonderful JACC picnic), parents and caregivers have a wonderful opportunity to instill important values that will last a lifetime. Even at a young age, children can begin to recognize that they exist in a broad and diverse universe and I am hopeful that my own children are starting to think along these lines.”

National Sports Centre locations host a variety of events throughout the year ranging from sporting events to auctions. National Sports Centre employees are an integral part of the Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity. Many contribute through payroll deductions, serve as volunteers at our signature events or are involved in the store fundraising efforts.
Our greatest partner in our mission to help chronically and seriously ill children and their families is National Sports. Through their generosity, administration costs for the Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity are kept to a minimum. This means we are able to use more of every dollar raised to help our cause – to improve the lives of seriously ill children.
The third party events and fundraisers created, supported and carried out by managers and staff are nothing short of a miracle for the JACC kids. National Sports store-wide fundraising events highlight the tireless efforts and enthusiastic commitment of National Sports employees to the Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity. They are an integral part of our mission and they, along with our many other supporters, have enabled us to help 6500 children over the last 20 years, children who really needed our help.
“National Sports has proudly called the Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity our charity of choice for over 20 years. Helping seriously ill children with costs surrounding their illness is something we feel passionate about. Everyone wants to make a difference, and we feel we have the opportunity to make a profound difference through our support to these children “when love is not enough”.

Vice President Operations, National Sports

The Yellow Bus Foundation® enriches the lives of children in Canada living with chronic illness and/or serious medical conditions as well as provides enriching opportunities for disadvantaged youth. We have been fortunate again this year to be selected by The Yellow Bus Foundation as a recipient of funds raised through their annual fundraising events; The Bay Street Stampede and The 100 Hole Golf Marathon. Details of these events can be found on the “Fundraising activities” page of our website. By supporting these events you will be helping JACC children and their families.
“The Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity (JACC) embodies the purpose and mission of The Yellow Bus Foundation (YBF). YBF’s driving force is to help children with life-threatening or chronic illness or disease; we provide financial support to those grassroots organizations that demonstrate the same values. Our colleagues at JACC continue to be outstanding stewards of the fund entrusted to them; we value and appreciate our partnership with them.”

Randstad Canada is the country’s leading provider of Staffing, Recruitment and Workforce services. They help companies and organizations achieve their goals through improved access to their most important resource – talent.
“It is important to us here at Randstad that our partners in the community have the passion, vision and capability to have a real impact. We wanted an organization and a cause that we could connect with. The Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity not only does that but also fits to our core values: to know, to serve and to trust. I truly believe our people want to do good, to make a difference in other people’s lives. And as our people don’t always know how (or have the vehicle to do so), Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity has given us that. We’re grateful to them for our cooperation and their great work.”
